Replica Paca Skull

The paca, native to South America, is a member of the family Dasyproctidae. This unique rodent has large check pouches with a boney covering that is visible on the skull. The paca is an herbivore and dines on a variety of plant parts including fruits, leaves, stems and seeds. Pacas are nocturnal, spending the day time sleeping in their burrows.
